The King River Horse and Pony Club was founded in 1964, just one year after the formation of the PCAWA and 5 years after the first Pony Club was established in WA. It is affiliated with the PCAWA and through it, with the Australian Pony Club Council and the Pony Club of the British Horse Society. As one of the most successful pony clubs in Western Australia, the foundation for the Clubs present success has laid, in the past, principally from good instructors and from good visiting instructors for the annual school. The continuous development and improvement of club facilities and grounds to provide a first class training venue have no doubt supplemented this. Club spirit, a sense of purpose and esprit de corps epitomise the close relationship between riders, instructors and parents at the King River Pony Club. |
